Jason has not always been working in the arts but fell in love with them in his early 20s. He left school at 16 and qualified as an electrician and spent the next five years on site. His background infuses and influences his work more than anything else. Plus, he’s handy to have around when there is a problem with the rehearsal lights.

It Is Time.
Time to open my eyes fully. To let reality seep over my soul. To forgive. To submit. To water abandonment. To soften. To harden. To take oneself by the hand. To whisper in one’s ear. To scream at the blackness. To feel. To feel not only the heart but the silence in between. To feel. To seek, to find. To float. To open. To be part of. To be full. To strip bare and to like – No, to love – No! To awe at what resides. To strip bare. To pull skin from bone, bone from thoughts, thoughts from emotions, fucking from love, pleasure from morals, life from living, person from god, white from white, black from black.

It Is Time.

“Jason Dupree’s direction.... perfectly captures the humour and uncanny of the subconscious, the ever-shifting balancing act between identity and madness, and an underlying preoccupation with death and jouissance” - Review - Circus Diaries
